COMPOST at MARKET

For our 2026 Outdoor Season, we have partnered with Bootstrap Compost for our composting services 🙌 their toter can be found each Saturday from 9:30am to 1pm. It’s next to our handwashing station and market shed at the 6th St entrance (adjacent to MUSIC).

Composing services have been generously funded by a farmers market grant through Farm Credit East. We can’t thank them enough for their support and commitment to our community!

  1. Bring your ORGANICS (cooked or uncooked kitchen waste of ANY type) in a paper or compostable bag.

  2. Deposit them into the Bootstrap toter

  3. Replace the bungee holding the top in place.

Please no trash, plastic bags, or pet waste allowed (these are CONTAMINANTS). This is a service subsidized by Bootstrap Compost and HFM vendors that is available for all of our customers at no-cost.

If you would like service to your home, Bootstap offers weekly pickups that are really easy and super clean. Their route includes Hudson, Catskill, Kinderhook, Ghent, and Chatham.
